AxiosTrump insiders tell Axios that Labor Secretary Alex Acosta did little to help himself at his high-stakes news conference defending his handling of the Jeffrey Epstein case when he was a federal prosecutor in Florida.
The state of play: Trump hates being goaded into action by media outcries, and a source close to the president said there was "zero" chance he fires Acosta right away. "Zero," the source repeated but allowing for Trump's impetuousness, another close source said: "I wouldn't say zero."

(7,142 posts)Trump and Epstein just ran around at the same social clubs. Trump barely knew Epstein. Epstein only had 14 Trump phone numbers in his little black book. I keep thinking about that one someone help me out. Why did Trump give Epstein 14 phone numbers? Maybe a reporter can ask Trump that question? What did Epstein have that was so important to Trump that Trump needed to give him 14 phone numbers?

(32,645 posts)...or for that matter, now many burners has Epstein used? Chump probably told him, "Don't ever call me directly from your own phone. Call one of my kids, leave a message and I'll return the call." (Or something like that.)
The feds still have a long way to go in investigating these guys.
