That's fraud. That was Maureen Dowd's quote, not Pelosi's.
Interesting that Progressive Change Campaign Committee doesn't want to use their own name? Astroturf, anyone?

And now they're fundraising off that fake claim? Why not just put a big red bow around dozens of House seats and hand them to the republicans?

(35,454 posts)If they continue the way they are...challenging Nancy, calling fellow Dems names, acting as if they are the end all and be all. They're in a grown-up world and thus are expected to behave accordingly.
And I keep asking...if they are so concerned about the children at the border, why was their recent trip their first one? Did they make one I'm unaware of and didn't hold a presser?

(18,275 posts)It sounds Trumpian. We're better than this.
A search the NYT piece turns up one instance of the use of the word "irrelevant", and it's Maureen Dowd who uses it :
This looks a lot like MoDo editorializing about what she perceives to be Speaker Pelosi's "feelings".
MoDo has long been known to spin at liberty and stir division. Remember when she used to refer to President Obama as the "Diffident Debutante"?

Especially if they know that their audience is eager for confirmation bias, and won't do any fact checking.

(17,986 posts)Ex Democratic Congress woman just said, there is a learning curve when you are new in Congress. She also said she has heard the 4 well prepared in hearings.
I have also heard that but when you have to lie to fund raise you are dead wrong. Republicans love this.
My suggestion to newbies? Keep your head down, stay off Twitter, shut up, do your homework. Then you will gain respect. Not until then.

(7,681 posts)Yes. Yes I do.
But my sig - which is what you were referencing - simply says "I stand with AOC"
Nothing about tweets or anything else. It says "I stand with AOC" and that is all it says.

(25,537 posts)Is seen standing in the middle of the plain,
A kettle has been brought to its summit ....
A river of milk gushes forth from a cave
And goes flowing through the town
Its embankments are made of ricotta ...
The king of the place is called Bugalosso,
They have made him king because he is the laziest,
Like a haystack he is big and fat ...
And from his arse manna comes forth
And when he spits, out come marzipans,
Instead of lice, he has fish in his head."
