The True Enemy

Who among us is our true enemy?

It is not a philosophy, it is not a culture, it is not a religion, it is not a gender, it is not an nation, it is not a region, it is not a class, it is not a ethnicity, it is not a race, it is not a generation, and though the enemy has taken cowardly refuge in each of these, it is instead those who have no charity, no conscience, no decency, no compassion, no empathy, no benevolence, no humanity, no imagination, and no love for any.

It is these humanoids that, having constructed a system that allows them to rule rather than to govern, turns each philosophy, culture, religion, gender, nation, region, class, ethnicity, race, and generation against another in order not only to gain and to keep their power over us, but to watch with amused contempt as we fight those who should instead be our allies in the struggle against tyranny.

Are they not?
