MSNBC: Epstein's attorneys think he deserves bail because of a "spotless record for 14 years"

$77 million...he'd basically put up the NY mansion as collateral, so if he skipped town, he'd forfeit it, but hey...he could just go live on his Pedophile Island in the Virgin Islands.

If he gets bail, he'll skate on charges for a second time...you can count on it.

The NYPD didn't chase him down if he didn't show up, so he didn't.

Maybe I dreamed it.

Spotless record? Right!

I'm starting to notice that our system only works if people believe that laws are actually a thing.

These days, they are a thing for you and me and all of us peons, but for the rich and powerful? If you ignore them and have powerful friends, no one really cares about little things like legal/illegal.

I'm still betting that Barr intercedes and ensures that Mr. Epstein receives bail and skips the country to ensure that he doesn't tell any secrets....or makes SDNY just dismiss all charges.

They used to sneak around, but by ignoring the laws and the Constitution, they can do as they please and sleep at night on top of it all.

I never thought I'd ever see such blatant lawlessness among the wealthy and privileged among us as we have now. I swear some lawyers only worked for their degree to see how to skirt the law, not support it. My apologies to any attorneys on DU unless you're one of "them"!
