4. You know, I hate to put it in these terms, but the white center right

won't give a hoot until you go after white people of their own ancestral background. I know this from talking to one. She's Irish-American and got defensive when I told her it was time to round up the Irish Americans who over stay their Visas. She immediately got defensive and said that they can stay as long as they contribute. After further inquiries I understand her point to mean that if they're engineers and their companies allow them to stay, they should not be the target of deportations. When I asked what would happen if they lost their jobs, she said that they can stay as long as they get another job. In other words, her prejudices allowed her to make concessions.

My surprise is that this immigration issue has been allowed to become an exclusive purging of brown-skinned people who have historically contributed by working jobs that most Americans think is beneath them. They're not taking anyone's job. On the other hand, we are not questioning why there are white undocumented immigrants who are allowed to work in jobs that are in direct competition with Americans? Why is no one asking the question?

If you make it clear that it's the white undocumented immigrants who are taking the jobs, and they should receive the same treatment, it won't take long for the center right to stop their aggressive stance against immigration in general.

I have, of course, met, worked with, gone to school with and been neighbors with many people. Believe it or not, I'm pretty sure I have known more illegal Canadians than Mexicans. During Reagans immigration raids in the 80s they raided a place where I worked and two Mexicans ran out the back door when they arrived. There were three illegal Canadians working there who were never even questioned.

I haven't heard anyone demanding a wall at the Canadian border. All this crap is not about citizenship, immigration or anything else but a pure hatred of Mexicans and other Latino people. Always has been. Period.

Stephen Miller is personally responsible for the most xenophobic policies of the most xenophobic presidency in modern American history. The senior White House adviser authored the travel ban that denied a wide variety of American Muslims the right to be visited by their overseas relatives. He implored the president to adopt a policy of family separation at the southern border, arguing that Central American families would be less likely to seek asylum in the United States if the U.S. government gained a reputation for subjecting their children to psychological torment. The public hated this policy, and the judiciary struck it down. Meanwhile, the Trump administration proved itself incapable of competently administering the program: the U.S. government ended up losing track of thousands of migrant children and allowing others to be legally adopted by U.S. citizens without their birth parents’ consent.

And yet Stephen Miller believes that the family separation policy was a success. Miller is behind the reinstatement of the Mexico City Accord and the anti-abortion measures spouted by trump when he rages about Planned Parenthood being "abortion factories." Remember trump said that "there should be some form of punishment" for women who seek abortions AND the physicians who perform the procedure.

This administration has sided with all of the repugnant bills being pushed through GA, OH, MO and other states. For years, trump was on the record as being "pro-choice." What changed ? Stephen Miller (and Steve Bannon, Thomas Homan), and let's not forget Scott Lloyd, who was head of the Refugee Resettlement Office, who kept meticulous records of girls' menstrual cycles while they were in detention, for the explicit purpose of controlling their reproductive status, and denying them their right to abortion. He has since been removed. Who do you think recommended him for that position ? If you said Stephen Miller, you'd be right.

So next time you or someone else wonders about who it is that Stephen Miller wants to punish, remember it's not just immigrants, people of color, poor people, but also half of the world's population.
