Stop calling Trump a racist

Having in-laws from Louisianan, I can tell you that racists don't care if you call them racists. It's not going to change their minds. What Trump and supports don't like being called? Stupid. Every racists I ever met is intellectually insecure, for good reason. I brutally attack their world view questioning their intellect. I don't try to reason with them, I go straight to insulting their intelligence.

For example:
Their constant miss use of words. My response is "Would you please learn the fucking English language. Maintaining immigrants in a large camps for political purposes is literally the definition of a "concentration camp". Read a dictionary if you don't understand English. It must be embarrassing that AOC understands English better then you."

"Are you going to mow my fucking lawn and clean my fucking house? I know my quality life depends on immigrant workers. At least I treat these workers with respect. Is your career so pathetic that you feel threatened by people who can't speak English?"

Tell me 3 things the Trump did that you think are "smart"?

The GOP is party that denies science. If you're going to deny evolution, deny the age of the universe much less deny global warming. I really don't give a fuck about what you have to say next. The GOP is an embarrassment for white people.

You claim your a Christian who supports Trump but you wouldn't know Jesus if he came down in kicked you in the ass.

Of all the descriptors folks have used for Trump and his ilk (e.g., deplorables), the only one that seems to generate a negative response from them is racist. I don't know why that is, but it's one thing that seems to bother just about all of them. Even Trump had to deny being a racist (confused, as usual, with which body part houses racism - it's not the bones, Donald, it's the brain that's racist). I'm all for insulting the alleged intelligence of racist knuckleheads, but I'll still call them racists.

11. It's a mistake to continue the white supremacist defined narrative

To identify racism is not an insult. It's an observation that refers to the social structure that maintains white supremacy.
Not everyone who benefits is a malicious bigot. In fact most white people who consider themselves non-racist work to maintain it most often without explicit awareness. It is the defensiveness and denials that are most effective. If we are serious about anti-racist work, we really need to understand that our boots are all caked in the same mud. It effects our behaviors and we aren't always aware of it. Being conscious and purposeful and honest when talking about it is essential. Those of us who are white are racist because we are in the top tier in our racially defined hierarchy and we are more likely to accept and defend it than to look for ways to do better.
Buying into the idea that it is insulting to be called racist is to accept the white supremacist deflection that racism is a character flaw rather than a system.

Bigotry is driven by hate and fear. I ask what people are afraid of.

shouldn't stop calling him racist, misogynistic, narcissistic, amoral, incurious, dishonest, ignorant, repugnant, misguided...and all the other appropriate adjectives. Those should be starting points for discussing whatever actions and words he sprays out there. After four years, how can media dissect what he says without first acknowledging that he lies almost every time he speaks or tweets??

To your point...What dems have NOT been doing until very recently is effectively and repeatedly drag the GOP and all Trump supporters into the Trump poison along with Trump. Trump has more than enough poison to go around and we can't let his supporters and enablers escape the brand.

Pundits and officials can be much more honest and less careful about insults WITHOUT getting into the gutter with the gop. Just honesty and bluntness.

Sounds right. From my experience, you nailed them.
However, most MAGAts I know don't exactly like the label *racist* yet they're proud of the fact they *hate minorities*. Seriously, proud of it!! Cognitive dissonance?

Decades ago I was called a "n___ lover" by a bigoted southern Georgia gal - she was trying to shame me!! It was almost laughable. Sad, ignorant woman.

What gets their hackles up is being called stupid and ignorant, which they are. To a person.

Thanks for your post.
