Trump approvals aren't moving.
Forget his antics. They are self-evident (to those who see)
Our opposition finds it all noise and are happy because the economy is ok for them. And they will put up with his color and hate because of that.
We need an out-of-the-box strategy. Or we will lose in 2020.
Case in point. Trump reversed an Obama regulation. They found that coal companies were dumping cancer causing sludge into streams. (Link below)
Things like that. Not about his character. Everyone wants clean water.

(90,339 posts)I'll be Americans against the Russians let the Patriots choose.
if a democratic poll said anything close to what Trump said about cheating in the 2020 election they would be teamed up with Russia in a split-second and even the more factual media would not let it go

(42,770 posts)away with not doing a thing about Russia influencing the election! Now, they don't care, because they won. But maybe the Indies would?
But McConnell won't take up protection. So WTF...think outside the box people. No funding?? So what. Have a national telethon ! Raise money for anti-tampering software! Announce that Republicans won't protect our vote !! And we need $$$.

(25,183 posts)All the efforts to shame Trump voters into not doing that will not work. Like Trump, they are shameless.
One more censure, one more racist rally, one more sexual scandal (of any kind) will not move them away from Trump, in fact, their resolve to support him is reinforced.
We need to reach the folks in the middle who don't make up their minds until perhaps the weekend before the election. We need to stress the positives that will come at the end of the Trump administration by having a Democratic president. And by positives, I'm talking about things that will benefit broad swaths of people, not just a targeted relative few.

(8,144 posts)we will need care about: the basics. We have to tell them how we are going to help them preserve or better their lives.
We know he is a racist, but his race-baiting is throwing us off course. Americans know and they know about Russia too. They are desensitized.
Yes. Clean water. Healthcare. Jobs. We worked it in the midterms and can work it again.

(42,770 posts)things that he has done under the radar. De-regulation is a treasure trove. Bet he doesn't even know the half of what he's undone. We were criticized in debates for not tying trump in. Yes, you have to introduce yourself to the public, and state your beliefs, but it's less effective when in a vacuum.

(8,144 posts)point you make that we need to remind folks of this. Deregulation is huge, consumer protections,
the VAWA, what Holder was working on to hold police depts. accountable, and then all the work
of various departments, their missions converted to just the opposite.
