how there are no George Soros conspiracy theories made by them, no attacking the "shadowy cabal of 'globalists' that control the media and the banks", they aren't saying that secretive groups of je-"globalists" are paying for migrant caravans to enter the United States, etc.
You can find them... made by people issuing threats and insults directly to the two though.
I dunno guys, I'm starting to think Trump's base might just be projecting their paranoia, extremism, and anti-semitism onto the "Squad". I just can't shake the feeling.
Could just be me though.

(43,380 posts)pro-Israel lobbyists and the millions of dollars they spend to influence US policy. They try and say any criticism of AIPAC and/or the RW Israeli government is by definition antisemitism. Same for BDS. It so cheapens any legit critiques of the actual real anti-Semites out there. She was attacked about saying they gave directly to candidates, which they do not, BUT they can give to dark-pools of money, which can work its way around and indirectly aid (or punish opponents of) the actual candidates and most certainly goes to lobbying on legislation..
Pro-Israel donors spent over $22m on lobbying and contributions in 2018

Pro-Israel lobbyists and donors spent more than $22m on lobbying and campaign contributions during the 2018 election cycle. The same or similar Israel-aligned groups and donors have spent hundreds of millions of dollars in recent decades, and that money poured into American politics through a variety of channels, according to the non-profit, non-partisan Center for Responsive Politics. The CRP uses federal election records to track campaign finance spending and makes its data available on the OpenSecrets site.
The Guardian examined campaign finance data after Muslim Minnesota congresswoman Ilhan Omar ignited a controversy with two tweets claiming pro-Israel lobby money influenced American political policy and discourse. The claim led to broad accusations of antisemitism from Democrats and Republicans. Omar later apologized but also stood her ground when it came to highlighting the influence of lobbyists, comparing influential pro-Israel lobby group, the American Israeli Public Affairs Committee (Aipac) to the the National Rifle Association and the fossil fuel industry.
The data examined by the Guardian suggests that the pro-Israel lobby is highly active and spends heavily to influence US policy, though at levels far below those of many big business sectors. I havent observed many other countries that have a comparable level of activity, at least in domestic lobbying data, said Dan Auble, a senior researcher at CRP. Omar incorrectly suggested Aipac makes campaign contributions to candidates. However, records show it did spend about $3.5m lobbying during the 2018 election cycle. In total, pro-Israel lobbying groups spent about $5m in 2018, the highest tally since tracking began in 1998.
Aipac spent the most of the lobbying groups, and is known for funding junket trips to Israel for freshman lawmakers and senators, as well as state legislators. Aipac also lobbied against the Iran nuclear deal in 2015 and supported the Trump administrations withdrawal from the agreement.

The other comment that she gets bashed over is the out-of-context quote about 9/11

(3,256 posts)the squad needs to lower its profile and stay with the Democratic herd. Otherwise the squad will not be effective in helping its constituents and their life.
They were elected to be members of congress - not elected to be twitter celebrities. The constituents can see what the squad is doing and people are not liking it.

Just becasue you'd like them to sit down and shut up doesn't mean everyone does nor does it mean that all or even a majority of their constituents do.
Well behaved women rarely make history.

(8,739 posts)Moderates may not like them? Really? Being moderate and just average will never fix the hell this ass has put us in. Moderation will not fix the poison he has unleashed on our environment and the climate catastrophe that is already here. We need extreme measures to save our country and the planet. We can not wait for moderation. Time is now to act decisively and progressively. Our children are not the only ones facing the coming hell, we are in it now. 14 states today, setting record heat. The entire food producing parts of our country are underwater. We DO NOT need Tim Kane moderation. I served in the Navy on a guided missile destroyer. A fire drill training film showed the USS Forrestal aflame with jet ordnance exploding everywhere, with a Chief running toward the explosions with a fire extinguisher. He did not survive or end the danger. Not a time for MODERATION. Our vessel, (earth) is exploding. Congress is made up of many different people, representing many different people, and are sent there to represent "their" people, not shut up and follow moderates to be safe.

(13,991 posts)Thats why they elected them. Their brand of politics cant be embraced in moderate districts but I have no problem with them being sorely needed progressive voices in the House.
