Friday TOONs - Not because they are easy, but because they are hard

We choose to go to the Moon! We choose to go to the Moon...We choose to go to the Moon in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard; because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, because that challenge is one that we are willing to accept, one we are unwilling to postpone, and one we intend to win, and the others, too.

Lots of good things derived from NASA being challenged (and funded).
Ever heard of "software engineering"? Thank Margaret Hamilton:

Tough call with a great collection like this, but I'll go with "The illegals have landed" and "send her back".

In a melting pot, everything mixes together until it is all the same. I'd rather think of our country as a piece of concrete. From the outside, it appears to be one strong, solid mass. But if you cut into that concrete, you see all the different pieces that, bound together, make it strong.

At least, that's how we should be.

some provide rigidity and some flexibility. Some prevent ripping asunder and others help the repair process.

If we were just old tired rich white men we would end up with a piss-poor rigidity and nothing else.
