Republicans only see latinos as a demographic threat and a bogeyman. I look for them to float a proposal to allow those petitioning for asylum to remain and work for their new patrons but only after signing away ALL of their rights, thus establishing a new permanent underclass. Republicans love latinos as long as they're doing the laundry or mowing the grass and only for as long as they can make them work for 1960s wages. The RWers are coming out of the closet and flying their Confederate flags. Encouragement from nutball pundits and politicians is telling them it's okay to bring their racist jokes to the watercooler. What was considered beyond the pale just a few short years ago is now reality.
