He was a loser his whole life, so he became a bully to compensate for his lack of acceptable social skills. Without his money that daddy left him he'd be a nobody today.

This! He has NEVER been good looking, smart, talented, interesting or cool. He has always been a loser and always will be. How he manages to talk himself into believing that he is any of these things takes some real mental gymnastics.
