Yet another sign that trump may have gone too far:

"Donald Trump Hates America" is the title of the latest NYT column from David Brooks.

When a middle-of-the-road hack like Brooks starts going dark on you, that's a sign of trouble. I'm sure Brooks will get back to pissing me off with his next column, but I'll credit him with this one.

1. Brooks has had a moral awakening. He rediscovered his Jewish roots and became more enlightened.

I don't think that means he became a liberal Dem. He just reordered some of his priorities. I think Dump was the last straw for him. I say "good for him." I believe in redemption. I never believed he was a bad guy, just misguided.

2. I haven't seen that

But I would put money on the fact that somewhere in that piece Brooks is going to lambaste Democrats for something. Doesn't matter what. Brooks is so formulaic. Whatever he's writing about, he throws in a critique of liberals or Democrats and their failure to do something or other.
