Isn't it weird how the media are constantly worrying about how Democrats are going to appeal to die-hard Trump voters, but there's never a word about how Trump might appeal to Democrats or expand his narrow, bigoted base of voters? Not that I want any more people voting for Trump, but Republican strategists don't have to spend half their interview time explaining their lack of outreach to all citizens.

And that we should be fearful of them. The media has no problem helping him promote this.

In reality his base has been shrinking and he's in a vulnerable spot politically.

Don't buy into his illusion.

just like there were some folks who thought he was better and tentatively voted for him, there were other folks who thought he wasn't "bad" enough and sat out...but now that they see he's a full-on white supremacist dedicated to the cause, they are full throated in favor.

He lost some, he gained some.

We just have to hope the first group is larger than the second group plus we add in some of those "I don't like anyone I'm staying home voters."

no one ever went broke overestimating the racism buried within Americans.

This will be a close nailbiter no matter who we nominate.

Prepare yourself now. There are folks who will vote for him but will say they didn't.

Being an open racist isn't popular anymore, but those folks didn't STOP being racists, they just put a figurative hood on.

The Democratic challenger needs to be a person who appeals to the independents and so-so voters who aren't paying much attention to all this stuff.

Nothing significant has come out about who Trump really is which was not already known before that "one chance" they supposedly gave him. And I say that not to diminish what has entered the public conversation about Trump since the election, but to point out how MUCH was out there to see before the election.

He was a known liar, con man, grifter, racist, homophobe, sexual assailant, pervert, molester, hypocrite, thief, crook, rapist, pedophile, embezzler, fraudster, money launderer, philanderer, traitor, useful idiot, narcissist, ignoramus, moral monster, bullshitter, etc, etc and they still voted for him.

If that list didn't prevent them from voting for him once, why would it succeed in preventing the second time?

Come on now. He revealed his nature during his campaign. Even a cursory look into this man's past should have made anyone alarmed. There is NO EXCUSE for voting this vermin into the Presidency. I don't care how often we've been let down in the past, or how disillusioned we think we are. Who in the hell coulda thought a monster like this would do any good whatsoever? Ultra low info voters.
