I met Mr. Rogers when I was 10 years old. My family was invited to Hickory Hill by the Kennedy family because my dad was one of the people who were being honored for the development of Youth Conservation Corps - a voluntary summer youth work program. Mr. Rogers was there to entertain the kids who came to the event with their families. I remember that day like it was yesterday. Kids were drawn to him...nobody wanted him to leave.
