O'Donnell, Steele, Fineman and Tweety...all sitting there absolutely GUSHING about how much of a wonderful liar Ryan is! You expect Steele to gush, but the rest of them...they're all saying he was so effective and got his message through to swing voters yada yada....that all swing voters will hear is his talk abouit his mom and grandmother and won't even know they're being lied to. And just basically what a formidable, awesome orator and politician he is....because he is such a great liar.
Fuck that! A liar is a liar is a liar.
Gotta be some serious-ass Stockholm Syndrome shit goin' down outside the Tampa Bay Times Forum...two or three days living and breathing Repuke bullshit will rot your fucking mind I guess.

(4,340 posts)Lawrence, WTF? You don't have any problem calling Romney the liar he is. Why is Paul Ryan getting the kid gloves?

(18,048 posts)I have never seen anything like this. They are praising him while admitting that he is lying!
What the hell is going on in this country???

(24,754 posts)they are saying he hit a homer with undecided low information voters (as well as base) watching his speech tonight. Basically, Ryan is one of those pathological "swami"-type liars. They are merely acknowledging his success with this tactic.
The Obama team better come out swinging in the morning!

(18,048 posts)Who cares if he's a great liar if he's lying? Shouldn't they be alarmed for the American people, being subjected to this kind of swami? Shouldn't his lying be the subject?
I know how things work but geez.

(1,933 posts)worse than Romney. My gut tells me so - I can't stand to even watch or listen to him. Or to the panels that "gush" over this idiot.

(24,754 posts)the most energized speech of the convention.
I'm confident Obama and Biden can take this guy out. It will require smarts and strategy, and I believe they are capable of it.

(32,718 posts)have me a little worried. Actually, a lot worried, because I trust his opinion the most out of everyone on MSNBC.

(501 posts)...dead on. Most of us know who were voting for already. Hes trying to capture the undecided voters, the ones who don't follow this stuff like we do. They don't check facts, they don't care, it's sad but true.

(24,754 posts)Who they (the voters) want to be associated with..which team they want to be on. I daresay that's where Obama gets some of his support.
The Dems are going to have to bring on one of their inspiring, uplifting conventions - remember 2008? It's going to be harder this year for all the reasons we already know -- Ryan has put youth and energy on the table, for one. But I believe in Obama and his team and I think we can give them a run for their money!
