What would happen if a massive number of people protested the Trump presidency?

Puerto Rico's Governor resigned in response to the protests.

We should do it, because massive protests work.

They energized people to get involved in the political process and to vote.

Were you expecting something else?

They need Trump.

Here's a good example of the media influence on the run up to the Iraq invasion

A University of Maryland study on American public opinion found that:

Fifty-seven percent of mainstream media viewers believed that Iraq gave substantial support to Al-Qaeda, or was directly involved in the September 11 attacks (48% after invasion).

Sixty-nine percent believed that Saddam Hussein was personally involved in the September 11 attacks.

Twenty-two percent believed that weapons of mass destruction had been found in Iraq. (Twenty-one percent believed that chem/bio weapons had actually been used against U.S. soldiers in Iraq during 2003)

In the composite analysis of the PIPA study, 80% of Fox News watchers had one or more of these perceptions, in contrast to 71% for CBS and 27% who tuned to NPR/PBS.[20]

people going about their business waiting for Nov 2020.

If the Congress serves the people, and the people do not demonstrate in a clear way what they want, and that they support Congress....then Mitch wins in a different way.

Elected officials caught on decades ago that Americans are mostly complacent when it comes to government. That is why the GOP runs on guns and abortion....cause 50% don’t care.

Skin in the game is important....

It’s all lost politically speaking. 45 and Putin/McConnell/RW media have successfully rendered our constitutional democracy useless. There was an opportunity to solve this politically, but the Dems did not/do not have the balls to fight. Anyone in the opposition of the coming dictatorship need to be ready and willing to fight and possibly die in the street before being rendered a political prisoner. This is NOT hyperbole. Trump is going Nowhere in 2021. Opposition will be declared illegal. There WILL be BLOOD. I for one, plan to go down FIGHTING....with extreme prejudice.
