Ten years before the movie, at a comic con, he told me, he could not write of racism at the time, so we used the X-Men mythos to talk about racism.

At it's core, the X-Men are about race and discrimination.

No, really. I am a huge fan of Stan the Man. Don't like what's been done with his characters more recently, generally, but love what he did at Marvel.

It seems he makes a cameo in every movie of a Marvel property.

In the first Iron Man movie, Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) greets Stan as "Hef."

My brother and I collected tons of his comics back in the 80's. He was more of a Spiderman fan. I love Stan.
