C'mon, people--gimme some ammo. Did Bush do this? Did Bush send condolence letters at all?

Here was my response:

Oh, fer Chrissake. How many signatures do you think are required of the President in any one day? This sort of thing has been handled by form letters for generations. I'm glad he devotes his time to more critical pursuits than this nonsense.

BTW, Bush was notorious for not sending out condolence letters of any kind to families of those fallen in his ill conceived wars.

(I don't know if Bush sent letters or not, but let the wingnut prove me wrong. I'm tired of factchecking his bullshit all the time & sending corrections, which he ignores.)

No, Bush didn't sign those letters. Rumsfeld did, after an outcry.

I can't imagine how sick I'd feel to receive a letter of "condolence" over my child's death in a totally unnecessary war -- a letter that was actually handled and signed by Donald Fucking Rumsfeld.

on the letter is a form letter that is signed with an auto pen. God lord the president would never have time to mass sign letter for all over the world or the states. I am sure ALL the recent presidents in history do this.
