While looking at Moscow Mitch, don't forget the Moscow Seven

Seven Republican senators (and one Republican Rep) who chose to spend last 4th of July in Moscow.

I don't think we got a straight answer about why, do you?

(snip)

Joining Shelby were Sens. Steve Daines (R-Mont.), John Hoeven (R-N.D.), Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), John Kennedy (R-La.), Jerry Moran (R-Kan.) and John Thune (R-S.D.), and Rep. Kay Granger (R-Tex.).

1. I agree it is high time to call Republicans what they truly are.

It took Joe Scum to get it done. There is always Rand Paul whose voting sins were over looked by sucking up to Putin.

4. Also, spare a thought for Moscow Marsha Blackburn

...."According to information now removed from his website, Preston says he served as president for Marsha Blackburn for Congress, Inc. through at least 2014, with official documents showing the work beginning in 2003. During the same time period, he also introduced Alexander Torshin, a now-sanctioned Russian official accused of mafia ties and massive money laundering in Europe, to then-NRA President David Keene. For good measure, documents filed show that Marsha Blackburn for Congress, Inc., also listed Blackburn’s husband as the registered agent, and listed Blackburn’s address as its own.

The fact that a key member of Blackburn’s campaign was also working closely with Russian officials raises new questions about designs Russian operatives may have had on recruiting allies among Republicans and social conservatives in the U.S. — as well as just how extensive this effort might have been."....(more)

Useful to refer to most of the folks associated with the Asshat-in-Chief.

As in a Rabble of Republicans.

To really rub it in (and they have earned it):

MOSCOW MITCH and the MOSCOW SEVEN

(also, the Soviet Union
doesn't exist anymore)

6. LOVE the Moscow Mitch moniker! We are now playing by Trump's rules: give them derogatory names!

Funny they didn't object when Trumpy named others with demeaning names, eh?

10. Oh, I'll never forget the Moscow Seven!

But thanks for the reminder. I’ll never forget because Vlad
made sure it will be forever seared into our memory by making the visit over July 4. Traitors.

The info about Marsha Blackburn in Tanuki’s comment I find to be really telling. What it tells is the amount of time and effort put into this operation as well as its size. This is an example of why Republicans won’t oppose DJT. Too many of them are heavily implicated, either having received help themselves or knowing that their peers have done so. I’m really questioning the Dem loss of the Senate under Obama. Was it an opening salvo in the war on democracy?
