he's generally pretty blah when I've seen him on the various talk shows the rare time they let a Democrat on the air.

But, that was a damn good speech.

12. I could go for that. He got a lot of heat when Keith Ellison challenged him for DNC chair....

Glad he persevered, and he's done a great job.

11. Glad to see. But hope it does not become too common!

Since he had been chair he has quietly lead the most successful stretch we have had in a decade by good logistics and often quiet support of candidates where obvious National Democratic support would not help. Starting with Virginia, on to Alabama and finally 2018.

We have lots of good spokespersons. Where the republicans often have kicked our asses is the quiet behind the scenes folks plotting coherent strategy that everyone follows. Even if that strategy result in a more moderate house caucus which we now have. A majority caucus! The republicans have ceded the middle and it is ours to take. But it will not always make people on DU happy. The suburban woman are not die hard Liberals but we got their vote in 18 and should again in 20.

I’m glad to see him capable of making a great speech. More than that, way more than that, I want to continue winning. So I hope he gives speeches before debates to remind us we are fighting for basically the same thing. Then shuts his mouth and gets back to winning campaigns. With all the republicans retiring from the house we have a historic opportunity to build on our 2018 victory. If we manage the Senate Perez should be Sainted!
