Of his high school experience, he said he did not really participate in extracurricular activities because of a lack of freedom.
He apparently lives with his grandparents, was bullied in high school and has a twin sister who was more popular than him. He didn't even attend his high school graduation. He was attending Collin College in Plano through spring 2019.

Crucius said that he was concerned about the "invasion" before Trump was elected. He said he really was influenced by "The Great Replacement" by Renaud Camus.
This article has a lot of excerpts from his manifesto. He sounds fairly intelligent. I read elsewhere that he was bullied in high school.
