http://www.forbes.com/sites/shahgilani/2011/12/06/the-rumors-about-bill-clinton-are-true/Former President Bill Clinton has a new book out, Back to Work. Its subtitle is: Why We Need Smart Government For A Strong Economy.
He knows a thing or two about divided government, battling Congress and repairing economies and squaring budgets in the process. So, when the opportunity to meet him at a book signing arose, I grabbed it.
I hadnt read the book before arriving last Thursday at the exquisite 1927 landmark Books & Books building in Coral Gables, Florida where the Honorable William Jefferson Clinton was busy signing copies for a long line of excited patrons.
With his storied history and my penchant for muckraking, I had some questions for him.
*** i have a love/hate relationship w/ BC -- like all too many strian/german ideas of the market place.
he is sharp as a tack and has empathy and charisma to fill a stadium.
but needs a Come To Jesus baptism in the waters of FDR & LBJ.

(30,250 posts)He may be a flawed man, but at heart he is a decent guy who truly believes in doing good for others. He could have retired to a life of lucrative speeches and golf. He does both, but it is his dedication to helping some of the neediest people around the world what will guarantee his place in history.
I believe that, if it were legally possible for Clinton to seek a third term, he would win handily.

Now I think Clinton is the best president of my lifetime - with Obama ready to move past him.
