3. It will depend on whether this is a public event

Or just another "private" campaign rally, one where security is on high alert to remove any suspicious or disruptive* characters. If it's an honest-to-goodness public event, I don't think it will go well for Trump, unless he's on his absolutely best behavior.

*Disruptive, which could be insufficiently enthusiastic about Dear Leader's presence.

5. My suspicion is that it will be a campaign event; only Trump supporters will be allowed.

Trump would never allow himself to be placed in a situation he can't benefit from.

14. When Trump announced he was coming to Pittsburgh after the Tree of Life Synagogue massacre
Tue Aug 6, 2019, 12:08 PM

he was asked not to come by the Democratic mayor and by the Republic County Executive who were speaking on behalf of grieving residents of the Pittsburgh neighborhood. Trump came anyway, and it was a private event with the rabbi. He also met with some first responders and a handful of victims' family members who supported Trump. Police barricades prevented protesters from getting too close, but they could be heard at the synagogue.

The list of people who want nothing to do with Trump’s visit is growing longer by the hour, revealing a bipartisan distaste for the president’s agenda. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, House Speaker Paul Ryan, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi have all declined invitations from the president, according to CNN.

Pittsburgh Mayor Bill Peduto (Democrat) and Pittsburgh County Executive Rich Fitzgerald (Republican) both confirmed this week that they will not meet with the president, stressing that now is the time to focus on the victims of the Tree of Life massacre. Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf, a Democrat, will also reportedly not meet with Trump, and neither will Pennsylvania’s two senators (1 Democrat, 1 Republican).

Turn their backs on him while giving him the finger.

Actually, ignoring him insults him more.

I don't imagine his speech will be way less than spectacular. He probably won't remember what town he's in.

Don't let him in - he's the prime reason that El Paso is going through this horror to begin with.

Trump will never know.

His body double will be attending the actual El Paso appearance.
