Phrase in Trump Tweet this morning. He is just grotesque. speaking of himself in third person, calling himself the best ever of this and that.

1. We've respected the office enough

It's Trump who disrespects his office, and isn't deserving of any further deference as president. We've played that suckers' game for far too long, and it needs to stop. Now. Respecting and deferring to Trump only makes the people of the United States a doormat for Trump. We need to be done with this.

2. He probably speaks in third person since he's used to planting fake stories about himself

He's been doing it for so long, it's second nature.

3. He does the third person thing because he wants newscasters to read his tweets/words verbatim

which will sound to the casual listener as if it's the opinion of the presenter rather than himself.

The difference between this being broadcast:

"I am the greatest president of all time"

and

"Trump is the greatest president of all time"

is pretty significant in some listener's ears, esp. people with the news on while going about their business, not paying super-close attention, which is LOTS of TV news consumers.

Another part is vindictive in nature ... he wants to force the media to 'praise him' by putting words in their mouths, essentially.
