Remember when Trump cancelled the new Air Force One planes?

He said the Boeing price to build the next generation of presidential aircraft was too high at $3.2 billio and hinted that they padded the bill, decrying the deal as too expensive. Then he boasted he got Boeing to cut $1 billion off the cost. What a deal, right?

It goes without saying that Trump lied.

The cost of Trump's new Air Force One has skyrocketed nearly $2 billion from the original estimate

The new Air Force One will cost the Pentagon $5.2 billion, according to the Defence Department’s first formal acquisition report for the aircraft.
..
While Trump has said his new designs for Air Force One were for the benefit of future presidents, there’s been little discussion about what the upgrades actually are, besides a new paint job. The new paint job looks quite a bit like the one on Trump’s personal jet, a Boeing 757.

audit of the Pentagon budget. Seems they have all sorts of extra money, for AF1, plus the Wall. Do they cry "poverty" every year during budget negotiations? Paying hundreds of $$$$ over price of tools and equipment than normal dealerships. More taxpayer money is spent on them than any other department. Boeing? Didn't they do a crappy job on their latest plane?
