Yet another analysis. The shooter was just about to run into Ned Peppers when he was shot. There's a silent video from a camera outside Ned Peppers.

DAYTON, OhioAt 1 a.m. on Sunday, it was a bustling summer night on East Fifth Street in this citys popular Oregon District.
Lisa Clarke was sitting with her new boyfriend in the outdoor patio of Blind Bobs on their second date. A few tables away, Sheila Stanifer and Dee Miller, two widows who had met a few months earlier and considered themselves best friends, were having drinks. People were standing in line at a taco vendor. Others were enjoying the cool night air waiting to get into a bar across the street called Ned Peppers.
Dayton Police Department officers were patrolling the area, as they usually are, when bars are winding down for the night, officials said.
Moments later, a gunman walked from the parking lot behind Blind Bobs past the outdoor patio and
fired his gun, killing one person.
A 911 call came in.
Hey, we have an active shooter on Fifth Street, said the caller, an unidentified man who had taken shelter inside Newcoms Tavern. Long gun, one man, had a mask, multiple shots
He was shooting in the air and people were running and screaming.
As soon as the shooting started, a man on the patio of Blind Bobs yelled to others to get down. Get down to the ground now, or youre going to die! Ms. Stanifer recalled.
She and Ms. Miller hit the ground, as glasses fell from tables. The sound of shattering glass mixed with the popping sounds of bullets over their heads. Whoever he is, he was a hero. He saved us, said Ms. Stanifer.
