He could have waited a while. Then go to one city at a time, when or if, the people in that city were willing to put up with him. Say, Trump waited a week, and then went. Having a minute to minute plan of what to say and do, and be totally respectful and say very little. He could have cancelled plans for a week, and then decided. Made some kind of special effort to moderate his speech especially in El Paso. The scene in the hospital with the baby is very sad. The idea that he may have had the baby brought back for the photo op, really created more hate and disgust than if he would have cancelled and waited.
..Donald Trump thinks he is smart, but he is not. A smart person would have waited and tried again.
