Fwiw, I am toiling away about 100 yards up the hill from Mr. Grinch's ol practice pad. My step daughters BF is renting the warehouse/shop just for his fancy shmancy stage building venture. He is away at Burning Man while the grunt (that'd be me) is cutting a path through a bunch of sticker bushes. If the Storage Box bldg. wasn't there, i'd be lookin right at the Metal Shop as I type this..

As to the Cheerleader, I'm thinking a retired one might be more my speed. My ticker wouldn't last five minutes with that gal in the photo, regardless of how much booze we poured into her.

That's not counting talking Sondra Locke into 2 abortions and a tubal ligation.

There are more important things in life than a person's political philosophy. To me, Clint Eastwood is defined much more by his art than by anything else.

While I can laugh at last night's performance, I can also separate the art from artist when relevant. I'd be one pretty bored guy if I could not (or would not) do that.

The surest way to become disenchanted with (and maybe even dislike) any creative person is to read a biography. Frank Langella's book 'Dropping Names' comes to mind.

this includes the Repub platform. I don't care if he is 82. If he is tolerant on gay marriage and pro choice he should know better. I don't hate him, I just want to scratch my head. I don't mind poking some fun though, at his expense. I will continue to laugh at chair jokes from now until November.

The real life person who threatened to shoot Michael Moore and lectured an empty chair over Afghanistan is a fool.

Do you not give a man of 82 a little leeway? A little room to do whatever the hell he pleases?

Are people not supposed to have different viewpoints than "ours?"
Are people not "allowed" to think differently than "us?"
And if they do, they are ostracized and put out to pasture?

This world is really screwed up. We demand everyone think like "us" or we cut them off. That's a world I don't care to live in.

My relatives lived under "no dissenting opinions" and "we're right - always," in Romania for over two decades.
It's no fun.

Please.

Almost all the threads that go anywhere here are because of differences of opinion. What ever made you think that we all think the same!
