Fuck him. I don't care what he's done in the past, the fact that he would lend his support to the rethugs says it all.
I'm surprised they didn't trot our Dave Mustaine to play the anthem.

Unlike the GOP, which has officially included anti-woman, homophobic, racist policies as part of the GOP platform.

(10,558 posts).so booze is covered.
Fwiw, I am toiling away about 100 yards up the hill from Mr. Grinch's ol practice pad. My step daughters BF is renting the warehouse/shop just for his fancy shmancy stage building venture. He is away at Burning Man while the grunt (that'd be me) is cutting a path through a bunch of sticker bushes. If the Storage Box bldg. wasn't there, i'd be lookin right at the Metal Shop as I type this..
As to the Cheerleader, I'm thinking a retired one might be more my speed. My ticker wouldn't last five minutes with that gal in the photo, regardless of how much booze we poured into her.

If you are in Tacoma down by the ol Metal Shop during the day, next week I will be down there toiling away. I have at least a weeks more work there. We are right behind the Storage Box building. (dont forget to bring retired chearleader, preferably a drunk one).
There is the New Frontier Club across the street, it hosts local bands btw....if you are in one I might be able to put a word in for ya.

(3,650 posts)even for a long time. Then one day they say or do something bigoted or gossip ugly or homophobic...anything just ugly, ugly. And at that moment everything changes for you. You have seen the ugly and mean side of this person and suddenly you want to be as far from them as possible. It sometimes even seems as if they are even suddenly physically ugly to match the the ugly that you have just seen that lives within them. Clint Eastwood is that person for me today. Yeah...fuck him! He's never been a Hollywood liberal, folks.

(9,865 posts)......reprehensible as that is. It's that to speak at this particular convention means he supports the most right wing, dishonest, racist and sexist platform in the history of the country. He's seen the world, should know something---and to throw his fame behind this republican party, now, with their four years of racism and baggery and obstructionism on jobs, is truly bottom of the barrel values.
In my eyes he's scum.

Are people not supposed to have different viewpoints than "ours?"
Are people not "allowed" to think differently than "us?"
And if they do, they are ostracized and put out to pasture?
This world is really screwed up. We demand everyone think like "us" or we cut them off. That's a world I don't care to live in.
My relatives lived under "no dissenting opinions" and "we're right - always," in Romania for over two decades.
It's no fun.
