That's what my parents did 40 years ago when the white folks created a petition to prevent them from moving in. To this day not one neighbor admitted to signing said petition.

(65,457 posts)I'm not buying into this either. At one point the letter talks about "neighbors", at other times it reads singular. I'm calling bs.

(41,832 posts)So at first I didn't think this was so terrible. I have two dogs who bark at squirrels, cats and strange trucks. As soon as I hear them, I shake the treat bag and they come running in. I try to be thoughtful to my neighbors.
But then when I kept reading.... OMG. What terrible people... if this is real.
Editing my post... go to the link provided. It sounds legit.

(22,119 posts)The self-appointed neighborhood spokesperson, and cop.
How can you say these things to another human being? My mom had Alheimers, and my dad had suffered a stroke that left the right side of his body paralyzed. He was also deaf by then (which meant he was always yelling, and the TV was at full blast). People loved them, and would do anything in the world for them until an assisted living facility was no longer a choice. I am sure Ms. Dobard is damn glad she still has her parents.
Doesn't sound like such a, "high class neighborhood," if the author of this letter lives there. Wonder what would happen if Ms. Dobard threw a big neighborhood barbecue? She could tell a lot from who showed up, and who didn't.
