Their VC argument: Banks finance mortgages, so it's all good

That's the absurd logic they're asking us to accept regarding venture capital.

Yes, some people with mortgages successfully own their own homes. Great. That doesn't make the housing crisis any less criminal.

Bain Capital's core strategy involves loading up companies with debt to support lucrative payoffs to Bain Capital, and not giving a fuck if the debt-laden company goes bankrupt.

Just because some people are still in their homes doesn't mean that vulture capitalists aren't playing a rigged game with disastrous consequences.
