Maybe they should have just let her have the governorship she earned........
She promised after the election to keep fighting voter suppression techniques and now she is training and mobilizing the left to defend the 2020 election. She could very well be the difference between winning the White House and Senate vs. 4 more years of McConnell, drumpf and Putin.
That would be poetic justice after what the rethugs did to her..........
Saluting her patriotism!

(16,928 posts)the votes that were stolen, especially in the swing states, are part of what gave us the mess that we have now.
Stacey Abrams can be a powerful leader in making sure that we do not suffer the same consequences again.
She can also be a force in making sure that ALL Democrats get out to vote - supporting the DEMOCRATIC candidate, no matter who it may be.

(10,017 posts)I am not impressed with Tom Perez. Stacy knows what it takes to get people registered and to support grass-roots efforts to get people to the polls.

Give money and/or time to Stacy's FairFight2020. I have no doubt her campaign will have positive results.
Volunteer to GOTV... It's a rush every time you tell a young person that the voting age is 18, not 21. Or that person who just moved and had not updated their registration. Or that student that thinks they have to travel home to vote, etc.
This is what democracy looks like!

(7,633 posts)It's easy to do where I live here in Palm Beach country. Plenty of chances to vote early too, or you can vote by mail and then check online afterward to make sure your vote was recorded.
I know a lot of states don't make voting easy, like Penn for instance which I believe only lets you vote on election day and in many states you have to have a real good reason to get an absentee ballot.
But you just know that more than a few people won't bother checking to make sure they're on the rolls and there needs to be careful follow through on the provisional ballots they're no doubt going to end up casting.
I'm going to make a wild guess that the majority of folks made to cast provisional ballots will be Democrats. The pukes will triple check their eligibility beforehand and then crawl through broken glass shards, medical waste and used razor blades to vote for their puke candidates.

(4,982 posts)My grandmother got flagged for her registration not having her middle name. The thing is, she automatically registered when she got a new, non-driving ID. The state mismatched the name. Sigh. In my years of voting, I've never seen a checkmark next to a name like the one she received.
