It's only about 15 miles from our mountain house. It was a mob scene and the traffic on 17-B (one lane each way) was packed.

By this afternoon, I'm sure it'll be impassable.

Bethel is 43 miles SW of Woodstock, the town.

We get so used to referring to "Woodstock" that we forget that the town of Woodstock cancelled the permits for the Festival once it became clear how large it was going to be.

The own of Bethel Woods is filled with memorabilia from the late 1960s such as peace signs, VW minibuses and the like. It's a wonderful place for a weekend visit... just not this weekend!
