2 Special elections in NC on Sept 10. With strong GOTV we can take both.

These were seats held by Robert Pittenger and Walter Jones.

Interesting twist on the Jones seat, the county GOP exec resigned to support the Democratic candidate, Allen Thomas.

I'm not in NC-9 where Dan McGready is running though it includes parts of Mecklenburg. The R opponent is a major clown and the leader of HB2 among others. McGready is almost a throwback to the type of Democrat that does good things in the South, almost a Terry Sanford, Fritz Hollings, Sam Nunn, or Lawton Childs type of politician.

Interesting that the person mentioned in the story must have been channeling Mr. Jones as she sees Allen Thomas as more in simpatico with him than the R candidate.
