Scaramucci Putting Together Coalition to Stop Trump
August 19, 2019 at 8:16 am EDT By Taegan Goddard
Said Scaramucci: Im in the process of putting together a team of people that feel the exact same way that I do. This is not a Never Trump situation. This not just screeching rhetoric. This is OK, the guy is unstable. Everyone inside knows it, everyone outside knows it. Lets see if we can find a viable alternative.
He added: Moreover, I have to get some former Cabinet officials in unity to speak up about it. They know its a crisis.
Scaramucci did not provide any names of people associated with the coalition he said he is assembling, but predicted that by middle to late fall there will be a trove of people willing to speak out against Trump.

(3,324 posts)The GOP replacing Trump in 2020. Trump not on the ticket is their best hope at winning in 2020.
Also makes me wonder if Pelosi also realizes this and is one reason she is running out the clock on impeachment.

(42,566 posts)If they try, Trump will go ballistic and declare war on the GOP. I think it would be tremendously entertaining.

(63,221 posts)He's relatively sane and socially liberal, or at least he was when he was Governor of Massachusetts. He is the only republican I have ever voted for in my life (mostly because the Dem candidate was completely odious and very socially conservative).

(51,609 posts)Then when the Mooch was on his show a week ago he kept saying that the GOP needs a legit alternative candidate and I kept yelling, "What about Weld?!". He is sane, thoughtful and normal...what a refreshing change for a GOP candidate.

(43,181 posts)Trump is reelected. Or Trump is removed from the ticket and replaced with a viable, sane if evil substitute.
Are we to be deprived of this fight?
