not sure if still on, but Netflix had a great four part documentary on trump - starting on his first foray into Manhattan real estate. As time went on they said he was absolutely the best self-promoter ever known. In old clips, they showed how much people idolized him (false image), including the press.

To me, though, as pResident, it ALL goes back to him getting away with what he says. He accomplishes this by not having any proper press conferences where he is held accountable. Why Dem candidates don't mention this all the time is a mystery. It shows he is autocratic and above the law, norms, and traditions.
