Russian Nuclear Monitoring Stations Went Silent After Missile Blast

Two Russian monitoring stations designed to detect nuclear radiation stopped transmitting data two days after the explosion at a missile test site. In response to inquiries, Russian officials claimed they were experiencing “communication & network issues.”

If this whole thing isn't just some kind of Russian trolling, then their engineers are now busy recovering one or more very expensive chunks of plutonium or uranium-235 from the ocean floor.

Maybe they already have.

These wouldn't be the first nuclear horrors lost or deliberately dumped in Davy Jone's locker.
