Clint Eastwood Pretended Obama Was A Chair In The Most Bizarre, Incredible Speech Of The Convention

***SNIP

At one point in the speech, Eastwood did a back-and-forth with the chair, introducing it as President Obama.
"I've got Mr. Obama here," he said.
"There are 23 million unemployed people in this nation," he said, scolding the chair. "That is something to cry for. That is a disgrace, a national disgrace."
Later in his routine with the chair, he pretended that the chair was telling him to shut up.
“I’m not going to shut up, it’s my turn," Eastwood said.

who wouldn't pass the jobs bill.

President Obama wouldn't tell him to shut up..that's rude republicon verbage.

I hope the DNC totally ignores this stunt at our Convention and talks about what's important which I know they will but don't even bring up Eastwood's name. That would piss him off more than anything, I think.

Let Twitter handle it and the net.

Nothing says "dementia" like an apparently confused 80 year old man talking to an empty chair that he think talks back to him as well.

I'm actually starting to think that Mitt doesn't want the media talking about him because the more people get to know him. the less they like him.

At one point Clint pretended that President Obama had just whispered to him to go tell Romney "to go fuck himself", and the entire audience of thundering dunderheads roared with laughter.

I would say that to Romney, but President Obama wouldn't.

President Obama has never said anything like that to anyone.
So, it was a weird moment in reverse psychology that Eastwood would say that line about the Republican Presidential candidate.

The fact that Eastwood mentioned Libertarians during his bit was a bone he threw to the Paul supporters, but I don't think they even care anymore about the GOP's chances this year.

Ron Paul left the convention on Wednesday and he wasn't even present for Romney's acceptance speech last night.

The backlash cometh.

They were so envious of all of the Hollywood liberals that have supported Obama that they jumped at the chance to show that they have one of their own in Hollywood.

They gave Clint free rein to go on national TV unscripted and ramble on about whatever crazy shit he wanted. I loved the lawyer bashing in particular. Hey RNC, ya think someone maybe should have vetted Clint's "speech"?

Am I the only one who thinks it is disrespectful that some one would sit down a President and proceed to question and chide him.

Even as pretend, it comes off as arrogant and disrespectful.
