I thought this was pretty strong and should hit home for Kentucky voters .....

They travelled 10 hours to see him and he gave them 1 minute of his time.
Moscow Mitch. Can't "put in" the effort to work for his constituents.

(149,627 posts)MoscowMitch doesn't care at all how great this ad is, unfortunately.
He has buckets of money from outside contributors and they're no doubt very busy attacking her with their resources, and so far, he has beaten back all the competition.
People cave, maybe because they're afraid of what a Democrat might do in Washington. They're used to MoscowMitch and his ways and he keeps winning.
I hope this time will be different.

(33,348 posts)At least, according to the last numbers I saw.
Moscow Mitch represents Putin's dreams, not Kentucky's.

(53,410 posts)Good. Moscow Mitch just might get run of town on a rail. He deserves to lose everything. Just like his constituents have.

(58,785 posts)betrayals of the people of Kentucky, ones that make screwing those miners look SOP, which it is. A majority in this beautiful but appallingly trumpish state keep reelecting him, though. According to what I've read, donors (America's coal and energy, Chinese and now Russian) always provide however much money is needed to drown his challenger in a slurry pond of character assassination.
A Democrat is a real challenger for the governor's office, though, and is apparently hitting many of the same issues. When we drove through KY not long ago, a newspaper article reported that the Trump-aligned governor had disqualified radiologists from diagnosing black lung disease, so many local clinics can't, which is needed for things like workers comp claims.
Only results define a good commercial, of course, and this one's been timely for decades. Maybe enough voters have finally had enough, but it's important to remember that many've been voting against us far more determinedly than they ever voted for McConnell.

Cold bastard wouldnt give these guys the time of day.
And the point gets made that the issue isnt which political side the viewer is on. How any one could not side with the miners, I dont understand, but then Republicans...

(14,491 posts)McConnell lied to us every election cycle in his campaign ads and literature and deserves the hits.
He supported big tobacco well after the dangers of smoking was revealed and documented and has always told very nasty lies on his opponents.
Ditch Mitch.............

(191 posts)She made the fatal error of not going negative against Andy Barr and lost by 3 points. I'm not even sure she ever mentioned his name.

(9,291 posts)Just not a very skilled candidate. I'm in Kentucky and listen to her and met her twice. We should find a better candidate, seriously. I wish my son would run.
Also, enough of the female pilots. As an former ATC in the USAF, very few of these types of people make good political figures. Yeah, just my opinion but I lived it,

(63,221 posts)I really hope she wins. I can't understand why the people from KY keep sending Mitch back to the senate for the life of me. He clearly doesn't give a damn about them. I have already donated to the #ditchmitch campaign and am considering donating to Amy's campaign although I have maxed out my weekly donations. Keeping her in mind for next week.

I'll be working for Amy McGrath's campaign. First of all, to ditch Moscow Mitch. Secondly, because I think she's the real deal. I don't think its a bad thing that she's not a, "skilled politician". People in Kentucky will respond to her military experience.
It looks like the Dem party will get behind her this time. This is a great, well-done ad.
Go Amy!
