Injuries do not appear to be possibly fatal. Stay safe those with bad weather. Players had already left the field as the game had been suspended. Spectators are now evacuated too. CNN

(15,265 posts)And people on metal bleachers . Common sense eludes some people. However the people putting on the tournament should have alerted the specatators if they knew bad weather was coming in. It is typically a long walk to the parking lot from the course at this tournaments. It's too late once the storm is upon you.

(269,004 posts)but people are very careless about storms.
I've heard about a young footballer killed during a high school game. The stupid officials saw the lightning, heard the thunder and decided to continue players. Any hint of thunder and lightning between June and October and we're out of there.

On CNN some guest said when the siren goes off specktators are encouraged to move too. Didn't say that that happened today. Think they need to review their policy. Apparently they have a meteorologist at each event. Someone asked why they didn't start the game earlier if they knew there was going to be bad weather late in the day.
