The Party of Reality - that would be US.

Romney asked the classic opponents question: "Are you better off?"

Several good threads started here, and I think we need to deal with them.

I like this thread:

"I AM better off than I was four years ago." http://www.democraticunderground.com/10021238028

and I also like this thread:

"I AM worse off than I was four years ago." http://www.democraticunderground.com/?com=view_post&forum=1002&pid=1239399

Both are honest. Both are accurate. Both show REALITY.

The reality is there is still A LOT of work to do.

For me, the real question is "who do I trust to do the work RIGHT?"

For me, that is Obama. I think he has been doing the right thing, and I want him to keep doing it.

Honestly, I don't hate Romney. I won't make fun of his family, or his religion, or even his speaking style. He is trying to do whatever it takes to get elected, and I understand that. Doesn't mean I will vote for him. Doesn't mean I don't think he is a decent person.

I just don't trust HIM or his cronies to make good decisions for me or mine. (I even started a thread about it earlier today, because I think the policies he is advocating could result in the death of my daughter. http://www.democraticunderground.com/10021240371)

I consider myself a "Reality Based Decision Maker." I believe both people who posted the threads I mention earlier are telling the truth, and I think we need to deal with that "Reality." Those of us who are better off (my family among them) still know we have a long way to go to get back to where we were when the last Democrat was President (bless you President Clinton!), and we also know we need to make sure the REST OF US - those who AREN'T better off - are in a "YET" situation, because to those of us who deal with REALITY --

THEY AREN'T INVISIBLE. THEY MATTER. And that is why I support President Obama.

I feel bad for him. He has a lot of work to do.

I also think he is the best qualified person to keep us heading in the right direction FOR ALL OF US.

Not just the Republicans, who seem to believe the question should only be answered "YES" by "Top Donors for the Republican Party".

FOR ALL OF US.

Thank you, President Obama.

I vote to extend your current employment for the next four years, and pledge to vote to get people in office who will HELP YOU DO YOUR JOB - MAKING AMERICA BETTER FOR ALL OF US.
