I think Imaginary Obama should make an appearance at the Democratic National Convention.

The President should make a surprise early appearance on the first or second night, and bring along an empty chair. He should then have a heated discussion with Imaginary Obama, and blame him for all the lies the conservatives have been saying about him.

"Mitt Romney says I went around the world apologizing for America. I know *I* never did that. All the legitimate news organizations know that *I* never did that. It must have been *you* Imaginary Obama!"

He should go on to talk about the imaginary tax increases, the imaginary gun restrictions, the imaginary cuts to Medicare benefits, the imaginary death panels, and the imaginary attacks on Christianity - the President's own religion.

Even if it was determined to be beneath the dignity of the President, someone else could do the routine instead. It would still be funny, and it would effectively make the point that the radical Kenyan Muslim socialist President they hate so much is all in their mind - and has nothing to do with the calm, reserved centrist who occupies the White House.

And can you imagine what Letterman, Leno, Stewart, et al are going to do with this? They will have "empty chair" material for weeks!!!
