Tax returns show profit/loss/interest paid/etc on each individual property or business. It doesnt show WHO you paid the interest to. Or WHO you paid for services to. They are simply lines filled in with numbers. It WOULD show who you received income FROM. Trump could have a dozen loans from Russians and it would show as an interest expense without naming the bank or person owed. UNLESS you're audited.
I am not an accountant & only use my own returns, and others I'm involved with, as comparison.

When I could write off some of my mortgage interest, I had to include a statement from my bank.

But that would not be on the tax form itself. And the bank statement went to my accountant.

Numbers fill the lines, not names. Interest paid, costs, etc. It wouldnt show names, and knowing trump even if they DID theres no way he'd put Russian mobsters on an IRS tax form.
I've always thought that the reason trump hides his returns is not WHO is in them, but that they show him to be making a LOT less money than what he wants his followers to believe. That "mr big shot" image is SO damn important to him.

And yes, I definitely want to see them!

If he reported the loan forgiveness, it would need to be listed as income on his tax return. And the bank records would have to show which co-signer made good or defaulted on the loan. And wouldn't there be a bank report of the income from a forgiven loan to the IRS ? LOTS of trip wires in the reporting on this money.
