I really think Clint Eastwood did us Democrats a big favor with his "I have a chair" speech

Fact is, no one is talking about Romney's most important speech of the campaign. No one is going to remember it.

We couldnt have asked more from Eastwood if we had paid him and put him up to it.

A creative arrangement, curled around a tiny chair--leaving the seat empty of course

PLEASE send this idea to Skinner. Can you imagine the look on his face went he sees it came from Democratic Underground?

Oh, yeah, he only has 2 expressions.

Then he added that the Democrats may counter next week at their convention by putting Burt Reynolds in a chair on their stage after he has had a few drinks!!!

That's how unimpressed Mister Conservative was this morning!!!

Mika choked when they brought up Eastwood's comedy act.

The guy from Politico said Eastwood's act overshadowed Romney's speech!!

Why don't we all pitch in and send Clint an edible flower arrangement?

he was going to make a speech at the LieFest. Eastwood is pro-choice, pro-gay marriage.

I watched The Chair speech a little bit ago, and I have to say it was pretty weird. I think he punked those people bad. He took the wind out of Romney's sails.

and I am completely convinced the republicans got punked.

Gitmo, Afghanistan (!), not putting another lawyer in the White House, student loans, Air Force One being a gas-guzzler, liking to fire people... He didn't say a single thing that was in line with the republican platform.

If that woman hadn't shouted "Say 'Make my day!'" then I wonder how long he would have kept going.

He said "it might possibly be time that you stepped aside." And, I noticed he was wearing a blue tie. He may be supportive of romney, but probably not as enthusiastically as they thought.

The GOP would have cared less if Clint had just stood there and farted the whole time.

The purpose of his appearance was: Clint Eastwood, American Icon, is a Republican and says vote for Romney.

It is only the most rabid partisans who are disrespecting and laughing.

The majority of people saw exactly what the Republicans wanted them to: Clint Eastwood saying vote Romney.

trying to claim they had nothing to do with the appearance. It turned the final and most important night of the Repub convention into a week long punch line.

everywhere you turn there is another photo or video mocking the event. It has taken the attention away from the candidate and his message. If you don't understand all of that to be a catastrophe, you know nothing about politics.
