I live in Miami and have relatives throughout Florida, Georgia and South Carolina. We're all preparing as best as we can.

It seems like there is no refuge from this storm.

Its gonna sit over the gulf stream for a good little bit, and pick up more heat energy before it moves to the coastline...that's real bad...

This storm is a beast and needs to go screw off in the Northbound Atlantic and leave us alone.

As it is now, we're in trouble in FL.

If it turns too late and go up the coast hugging it, it's going to be devastating. I'm also prepping ( at north Carolina's borders) because it might yet turn a bit more and get us..

Problem is, where should people go? At this point I'm thinking of going to a parking garage and camping out in my car. The roads out of Dodge will be a nightmare.

Gov. Ron DeSantis said he expects evacuation announcements in some Florida counties, including Palm Beach, Brevard, St. Lucie, Indian River and Martin, to be issued Saturday. Tolls are expected to be...

As Hurricane Dorian’s potential track toward Florida narrowed Friday night, Gov. Ron DeSantis said he expects evacuation announcements in some of Florida’s most threatened counties to be issued Saturday.

But he didn’t wait to warn that people should heed those orders when they arrive.

“If you are in an evacuation zone and there is a mandatory evacuation order, please heed that call,” DeSantis said at the state Emergency Operations Center in Tallahassee, flanked by state Division of Emergency Management Director Jared Moskowitz and National Guard Adjutant General James Eifert. “There is a danger to your life if you remain in these evacuation zones.”
