Forecasting technology is amazing. Think about this...

Incredible to think there is a category 5 hurricane less than 200 miles east of me, and the threat from #Dorian is judged to be low enough that there’s no warning in place for #Miami. We live in amazing scientific times!

in 2016 by over 100 miles on the turn north.

Wreaked havoc with the east coast of Florida evacuating millions (uncluding my 78 year old mother) for almost nothing.

Irma blew thru Islamarada threaded up the west coast and into the Gulf of Mexico

They're good but not perfect by any stretch.

If Dorian doesn't make the turn by noon tomorrow, all hell will break loose in Ft Lauderdale/Palm Beach.

Turn baby turn. Please!

I watched a segment on wpbf 25 where a person on the hurricane hunter plane said the wind speeds were so incredibly high they assumed something was wrong. So they tested speeds using old school methods, dropping devices... he said those tests showed just a couple mph below 200 mph. YIKES! Watch the updates, they keep saying 185
