it may have been suicide to go down below.

The five who were rescued were crew members who were awake above deck and jumped into the water. Everyone else on board was sleeping below deck.

up a gangway. If the explosion/fire blocked that, there'd be nothing all of them in the room could do.

Rochester said they are still is in a response phase, conducting shoreline searches. The vessel sank about 20-yards off the coast in 54-feet of water. A portion of the bow is still sticking out of the water.

Rochester said the vessel was in "full compliance."
