(23,339 posts)Safest place, where he can lie about the ball's lie, the excellence of his putting, his perfect drives.
There are worse places for him to be: Hurricane areas, where he just gets in the way, or loads a truck by handing stuff to the driver; Texas, where he can interrupt peoples' grieving process; the White House, where his lies might have real consequence.
Stay golfing, Mr President, make us proud.

The Hill amplifies Republican lies. Also, the Hill is owned by a Trumpite rightwing billionaire.

Focusing on politics, policy, business and international relations, The Hill coverage includes the U.S. Congress, the presidency, and election campaigns.[5] On its website, The Hill describes its output as "nonpartisan reporting on the inner workings of Congress and the nexus of politics and business".[6]
The paper was founded in 1994 by Democratic power broker and New York businessman Jerry Finkelstein and Martin Tolchin, a former correspondent for The New York Times. The paper is owned by the founder's son James A. Finkelstein, who serves as its chairman.[3][7] Bob Cusack serves as the editor-in-chief, Johanna Derlega as the publisher, and Ian Swanson as managing editor.[3]

(6,916 posts)Finkelstein is a Republican billionaire who slants The Hill towards the right.
Thats why Finkelstein hired John Solomon from Circa/Sinclair to smear Hillary.

(12,422 posts)The Hill media bias rating is Center.
AllSides rates The Hills coverage of Washington news as center biased. This rating is consistent with the websites aim of offering non-partisan and objective coverage of the capitol. Out of more than 300 community members, a slim majority agreed with our center AllSides Bias Rating. Among 11 of those who disagreed, The Hill received an average bias rating of 40.9, barely inside the boundary between a center and a lean right bias.
More on The Hill
The Hill is an American political newspaper published in Washington, D.C. Its goal is to report on the intersection of politics and business, as well as to offer comprehensive insight into all factors of legislative decisions. The Hills print circulation, which is the largest of any Capitol Hill publication, comes in at more than 24,000, including every Congressional office and the White House. In addition to print, it publishes content on its website, which features six blogs dedicated to specific political and policy issues.

(6,916 posts)The Hills real media bias rating is:
Subtle Rightwing Propaganda (with some good reporters).
See above article which contains links on: Solomon/Circa/Uranium One, Finkelstein, Josh Marshall on Solomon, Republican-amplifying headlines, rightwing crazies in op-eds falsely balanced by center-left pundits.
Oh, and notice the Hill was the first in the WHCA to criticize Michelle Wolf when she roasted Trump.
I watch national media closely. The Hill is circumspect, but they definitely reflect the rightwing bias of their owner. No one at DU should quote The Hill.

While America is under imminent threat from a Category 5 hurricane?
That's totally twisted. Republicans need a freaking lobotomy. I hate paying my tax money for billionaire republicans to screw off in luxury while my country is in danger.

If Pence is doing any kind of meetings, planning, press conferences, it is because he is positioning himself.
