Utter bullshit. Not to mention control over the process after a death sentence has been passed is all about the Judiciary not the Executive branch, including Barr and his corrupted DOJ.

(22,911 posts)It seems pretty clear that a fear of their own death does not deter mass shooters. By and large they are counting on it. If anything a certain life time prison sentence might be more of a deterrent than this.

(43,049 posts)and Justice has nothing to say about them? Terrorism may be federal, but then they have to admit this is terrorism.
And, as others have said, these are mostly suicide attacks anyway. There are no real records of "suicide by cop" but everyone pretty much knows it happens.
Personally, I have always been against the death penalty and see no more reason to kill the killers than the killers saw to kill the victims. I would prefer to see them locked away in a mental health facility and studied to see what makes them tick.
