Now it's cannabis that causes mass murders

Rightwingnutz are tying themselves up in knots to protect their sacred guns.

Tucker Carlson Tries To Blame Marijuana For Mass Shootings

The summer heat may have finally gotten to FOX News this month. Last week, we had the cable news network criticize people on the San Francisco streets shooting up marijuana. But now Tucker Carlson wants you to consider a correlation between the increase in mass shootings and increased access to marijuana across the country.

Mixed with alcohol and other drugs, perhaps, but not by itself.

I can't believe the excuses the gun crown keeps making to blame gun violence on anything but guns.

"Christian Conservative Patriot". This is from someone that dodged the draft in the early 70's and then joined the Navy becuase it was his only out from a criminal offense here in Texas (they used to let some good ole white boys do that) and now constantly says he fought for our freedom?? He has hung out in beer joints all his adult life, married 3 times, and now he has become a "Christian" since his new girlfriend brought him to the "Cowboy Church". And for some unknown reason loves Trump? He smokes weed also and it is almost funny. You would think he is addicted to it becuase he will not even work somewhere that drug test and since almost everyone does that means he has pretty much a minimum wage job and at 66 is barely getting by. A climate denier, thinks immigrants are taking all the jobs, etc. I don't understand it? Doesn't make sense? I always said it was becuase he hangs out in beer joints? Of course Texas, especially rural Texas, might as well be almost another planet but it is depressing for me and the wife.

Sorry for the long rant but I just got a call from a former work collegue who I haven't heard from in several years. He knows I'm liberal but insisted on going on and on about right-wing BS and Trump. I finally told him I didn't want to talk about that anymore but he wouldn't stop. I finally said I had to go that someone was at the door? How sad is that?

Grabbing at straws...

Is this about avoiding finding out what our crisis is about? How many of these jokers are going to play smoke and mirrors with this? This is similar to Trump's scapegoating of certain ethnic groups and insinuating they are a cause of our problems. Sure, violent video games, mental illness and reefer. There you go! How exceedingly inane, vapid and insulting to our intelligence can you get?

So, scapegoat away, but I only hope that the more we hear RIDICULOUS SPECULATIONS like this, the more people will wonder if that distraction and avoidance of some core, systemic and cultural factors is the point of these insane ramblings about supposed causes.

You really could use the term, wake up people, in this case. One grows sick and tired of being flamboyantly bamboozled like this.

Face palm time!

about 35 years and in all that time I met ONE (1) person who came to take care of his Marijuana problem. Everyone else either had a problem with drinking or some other drug and pot was just listed as a separate issue; one of not so much importance.

I wonder what they are trying to do by linking pot with violence? Maybe they are trying to turn attention from white nationalists to pot smokers since the later are often Democrats.

Who love their guns, are ultra MAGA and love weed. If a Dem would promise to immediately make weed legal their first day of office they would consider voting for them. That's how much they love weed.

This won't fly like other stories.

They have a 100% cleanliness rating, & they're making a fortune selling to those with the late night munchies. Not a gun in sight! No fights, either. And patrons would defend that little corner spot like it was the Alamo if anyone tried to rob it.

Back in the 1930's, DEA head Harry Anslinger said pot turned blacks violent and into rapists of white women, while listening to jazz.

Now Carlson just repeats those old racist memes.
