More than half the island is under 20’ of Ocean.

This is storm surge. It will recede.

But the damage is done. More hurricanes are coming.

And this is just a glimpse of what will happen in less than 50 years to the US coast line once the arctic ice has fully melted and the permafrost is gone.

I feel like the guy from my youth that was walking the streets with the sign “The End Is Nigh!”
